We’re pleased to share with you the schedule and resources from the 2016 Youth Philanthropy Connect International Conference. The conference was held July 7-9, 2016 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® in Anaheim, CA for youth philanthropists (ages 8-21) and the adults who support them. Our youth attendees researched, discussed, and presented grant proposals from local nonprofits. YPC is pleased to announce that full grants of $2,500 each were awarded to GOALS and OCCCO.

Exploring the underlying dynamics in philanthropy is critical to practicing authentic social justice philanthropy.  During this experiential workshop, we will share resources, activities, and curricular strategies for how to engage young people in learning the principles of social justice, helping them explore their identities as it relates to their role as leaders both in and outside of grantmaking, and how to engage young people in critical social justice work through philanthropy.  We will share the Andrus Family Fund’s program model and toolkit that can be adapted by others engaged in social justice philanthropy work with young people.

The great toolkit created by this session's presenters will be posted here shortly, as well as emailed to the YPC network and posted in the Andrus Family Fund's newsletter!
